The Annual Carving of Pumpkins

Each year the kids love picking and carving their own pumpkins. We learned that Connecticut Farmers are very proud of their pumpkins (we paid way too much for the pumpkins).

Happy Halloween!!

"Nor-Eastern"

We are experiencing our first Connecticut Blizzard. They are calling it a "Nor-Eastern" which apparently is code for tons of snow early in the year. I'd feel a lot better about it if it were February. Although the house does look beautiful in the snow.

Scoutish Games

Derek and Grayson went camping in Northern Connecticut as part of the scout troops "Scoutish Games"
Grayson loved camping, all the activities, and the food. Derek, of course, loved the Scottish Theme.

Fall in New England

All the trees are so beautiful right now. Here are a few pictures of our backyard. The rock wall is one of Derek's favorite things. It was here when we moved in & from the looks of it has been here forever. We would like to thank the early settlers for building it for us.

Oxford Generators

Grayson is loving his first season of baseball. In honor of the week long power outage caused by hurricane Irene his team is the Oxford Generators.

Our Little Swimmers

Abby & Lindsey have LOVED joining the local swim team: the Oxford Razors. They are at the pool 3-4 times a week swimming laps.
